EOQ meetings Tbilisi, November 2011

In November 2011 the EOQ meetings have been organized in Tbilisi/Georgia with the kind support of the EOQ National Representative Organization from Georgia, Georgian Quality Foundation (GQF).

Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Mt'k'vari (Kura) River. The name is derived from an early Georgian form T'pilisi and it was officially known as Tiflis until 1936.

Founded in the 5th century by Vakhtang Gorgasali, the Georgian King of Iberia, and made into a capital in the 6th century, Tbilisi is a significant industrial, social, and cultural centre. The city is also emerging as an important transit route for global energy and trade projects; it is located strategically at the crossroads between Europe and Asia and is lying along the historic Silk Road routes. The history of the city can be seen by its architecture, where the Haussmannized Rustaveli Avenue and downtown are blended with the narrower streets of the medieval Narikala district.

55th EOQ Congress, June 21-22, 2011 - Budapest/Hungary

The 55th EOQ Cogress was organized  in Budapest on June 21-22, 2011 with the kind support of the EOQ National Representative organization for Hungary, HNC.

Budapest is the largest city of Hungary, the country's principal political, cultural, commercial, industrial, and transportation centre. Cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, its extensive World Heritage Site includes the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrássy Avenue, Heroes' Square and the Millennium Underground Railway, the second oldest in the world. Other highlights include a total of 80 geothermal springs, the world's largest thermal water cave system, second largest synagogue, and third largest Parliament building.

In October 2010 the EOQ meetings have been organized in Izmir/Turkey with the kind support of the EOQ National Representative Organization from Turkey, Turkish Stanadard Institution (TSE).

İzmir, historically called in English Smyrna, is a city in western Anatolia Turkey and the capital of İzmir Province. It is Turkey's third most populous city and the country's second largest port city after İstanbul. It is located along the outlying waters of the Gulf of İzmir, by the Aegean Sea.
İzmir has almost 3,500 years of recorded urban history and possibly even longer as an advanced human settlement.
Very different people found İzmir attractive over the ages and the city has always been governed by fresh inspirations which stemmed from the location of its center and the readiness of its citizens to adopt novelties and new projects.

In November 2009 the EOQ meetings have been organized in Limassol/Cyprus with the kind support of the EOQ National Representative Organization from Cyprus, Cyprus Association for Quality (CyAQ).

Limassol or Lemesos in Greek, is the second-largest city in Cyprus and the biggest municipality on the island. 
It is also the biggest port in the Mediterranean transit trade and has become one of the most important tourism, trade and service-providing centres in the area.
